I managed to fit in 3 walks, crafting, movie watching, bath taking and reading. On the “get shit done” side we finally cleaned our whole downstairs (its seriously been a disaster for like a month), started really going through all the storage in the “one day baby room” room, and got some furniture type stuff out of the house.
(taken after work, before our Bradley class, on a busy Wednesday - looking a little haggard!)
Anyway, long story short- this weekend went well. It didn’t hurt that I played hooky from work on Friday :)
Our to-do list is still impossibly long and includes a lot of stressful shit like possibly buying a 2nd car and picking out a daycare….But I am also calming down a lot. I’m getting closer to the stage where I know as long as we have the co-sleeper by the bed we will survive. I’ve got my boobs for baby food and enough little clothes to start with. That’s all we need…in theory, lol.
I can also tell you that nesting makes me mental. I’m pretty sure Chris has had enough of my verbal spooling when I get an idea or start to research something. It’s like one second I’m just chilling and the next I’m a 7 year old with a Jolt cola listing off every option on the planet for some product. Bla bla bla bla bla. I annoy myself sometimes!
(baby room craft- A is for Athena!)
I’m annoying myself with this blog entry. LoL. MUST LIST ALL THE THINGS!!
I’ll stop while I’m ahead (even though I really want to talk about our classes, books, what we cooked for dinner last night, and everything else that is tumbling around in my head)
Love, Ten

What a very cute belly.
What does tthe bradley class entail?
Thanks Mom!
The Bradley Classes in a nutshell is for "husband coached childbirth". But what it really is, is "natural Labor" classes. So it’s 12 weeks of nutrition info, exercises (learn in classes but do at home every day), relaxation techniques (meditation, massage, etc), talking about fears/expectations/etc. Watching videos of natural births every class to desensitize and get used to what you will see (this helps the guys a lot).
Unfortunately, it’s mostly geared for people who want a natural birth IN a hospital – so there is a lot of stuff about like getting what you want – how to talk to nurses and doctors about deflecting interventions, how the husband can be your advocate, etc. Some of it is sort of unnecessary for us because we will be at home. But that’s OK
you look great! i love the A for Athena. such a pretty name. i am a total spaz/ rambler when i try to tell mike everything on my mind. i annoy myself too. your verbal spooling does not annoy me however. im fascinated hearing/seeing/experiencing pregnancy thru you. glad to hear you enjoyed some progress and relaxation
oh good because I feel like I annoy you sometimes when im blabbing away about baby books and whatever eles. lol.
Bla bla bla bla bla!!
We are going to be a blab fest this weekend!
I had another crazy laughing fit last night. Has anyone eles had that? I feel like the 3rd trimester has brought on the giggles like woah.
Not complaining!!
The pics are great. I like hearing all the stuff too. It sucks not getting to be around with all this going on so getting some of the experience is awesome
good to know- I'll keep blabbin away!
Athena is so pretty Ten! And you look GREAT! You do not annoy me at all either, I love to hear about baby stuff..I cant wait to see the rooms come together for you and Em! SO exciting since I dont have an extra room yet to do it myself! I wish I Was closer to you both so we could get the munchkins together!
Thanks Carrie!
I know, all so close together in age it would be so cool to get them all together!!
You are soo adorable!! Is Athena definitely it?..because I LOVE it!! I have some A names on my list, but Tom doesn't want names that start with vowels! LOL I know I know..crazy huh!
So happy you guys are taking the Bradley classes! I have heard really good things about them. I wanted to take it for Tom, but it was pretty pricy here and we had a Doula, so Tom wasn't the primary coach.
I totally understand about the whole unnecessary hospital stuff, but info is power and it's good to be educated either way I guess.
Keep up the great work! Luv u!!
Athena is it unless she comes out looking like a non-Athena i guess! :)
Athena Sparrow Jones :)
Thanks for the encouragement Vee :) We like the classes a lot- It has really increased our knowledge and readiness for sure. Chris has definitly gotten a lot out of it. Its a pain to keep up with the homework but Im sure it will be well worth it in the end.
LOVE the whole name!!! Why sparrow?..just curious.
you look beautiful in the photos!
Aw thanks Ms. Katie :)
